
CES (Consumer Electronics Show) held annually in Las Vegas is one of the world’s most influential technology trade shows. This year’s show, held from Jan. 7 to 10, brought together 140,000+ attendees, including 4500+ exhibitors, and highlighted the future of construction technology.
Some of the construction technology companies highlighted in the CES included John Deere, Kubota, and Komatsu. John Deere showcased its autonomous technology, Kubota displayed its KX38-4e electric compact excavator, and Komatsu presented its Smart Construction suite. There was also no shortage of construction robotics on display at the show including Deep Robotics and their full roster of diverse robots made for surveying and ULS Robotics and their AI lumbar exoskeleton which can lift up to 66 pounds. Artificial Intelligence was also on full display at the show with a highlight on smart-vision based AI to track proximity to machines and ensure safety, as well as devices to interpret and translate up to 40 languages to help make job sites more inclusive.
